Why Choose Apretude?

  • Convenience — No daily pills to remember.

  • Privacy — Administered privately at our Portland clinic.

  • Proven effectiveness — In two large clinical trials, Apretude reduced HIV risk by 66%–89% compared to daily Truvada®, largely due to improved adherence with injections.

  • FDA-Approved for Adolescents & Adults — Available for anyone age 12+ who weighs at least 35 kg (77 lb) and tests HIV-negative before starting.

  • Supportive Care — Guided by clinicians experienced in LGBTQ+ health and HIV prevention.

Personalized, Inclusive Care — Beyond the Basics

We go beyond simply prescribing PrEP. At PridePoint Health, you work directly with a physician who knows you, not an app or a rotating telehealth provider. We specialize in LGBTQ+ health and offer a full spectrum of options, including oral PrEP, long-acting injections like Apretude® and Yeztugo®, and tailored prevention strategies such as Doxy-PEP.

Unlike national mail-order services, we provide both virtual convenience and local, in-person care at our Portland clinic — including injectable PrEP administration, same-day or next-day STI evaluation and treatment, and optional discreet in-clinic dispensing. We integrate your PrEP plan with comprehensive sexual health services and evidence-based care that reflects your needs, values, and lifestyle.
